MACU is Christian in its worldview, culture and theology. In this immersive Christian environment, students are enabled to deepen and refine their faith. Students engage their chosen course of study as well as their future careers through the lens of their faith and conviction. There are four aspects that MACU focuses on as a university:

Current Home School or High School juniors or seniors may apply for admission as a dual-enrolled non-degree seeking student. High school students will not be permitted to enroll for more than 12 credits per semester. No more than 24 credit hours may be earned as a high school dual-enrolled student. Individuals who have earned 24 credit hours must meet application/admission requirements for degree seeking status to be eligible to enroll in additional hours. Special arrangements with schools/institutions may exist.

Situated in the coastal North Carolina community of Elizabeth City, MACU’s riverfront campus is adjacent to the Albermarle Sound and the world-class beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The Virginia Beach – Hampton roads metro is just 45 minutes to our north where students are able to enjoy concerts, festivals, the zoo and museums.

MACU is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division One, fielding intercollegiate teams in basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, cross country, women’s volleyball, and men’s baseball.
